Capturing images has been my pursuit and my passion professionally since 2000. I love the magic that happens when photographing people, especially when they are engaged in something else and forget entirely about my presence. This is when I believe we are all at our most authentic and therefore, our most beautiful, no matter how we "look".
Originally from the San Francisco Bay area, I attended the University of California Santa Barbara and then University of Colorado at Boulder, where I studied studio art and art history and received my bachelors degree in Art History. I then went on to do two years of further college level studies in photography in Denver, Colorado prior to opening my business.
I am also the Colorado chapter director for Flashes of Hope (www.flashesofhope.org)- a national non-profit dedicated to providing professional photographs to children facing cancer and other life threatening diseases and to funding childhood cancer research. I organize a number of top local professional photographers and conduct monthly photo shoots at The Children's Hospital of Aurora and Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children for this fantastic organization and contribute to their national efforts by local fundraising.
